Speed Word Search · last updated 28 October 2026
Speed Word Search is a small daily word game played inside Discord by a private group of friends. It is run by one person as a hobby, not by a company. This page explains what it stores and why.
What we store
- Your Discord account details: your user ID, display name and profile picture ID. These come from Discord when you sign in, and are used to show who played and to post your result.
- Your games: the date, when you found each word, pauses and your final time.
- Where you played: the ID of the channel and server you launched the game from, and a short-lived Discord token used to post your result card. Discord makes this token stop working after 15 minutes.
We don't store your email, messages, friends list or anything else from your Discord account, and we don't use cookies for tracking.
How it's used
Only to run the game: to give everyone the same daily board, keep your score, allow one go per day, and post your result card in the Discord channel you played from. Result cards are visible to people who can see that channel.
Who can see it
Your data isn't sold, shared or used for advertising. It's stored with Cloudflare, which hosts the game, and sign-in goes through Discord. Both handle data under their own privacy policies. Cloudflare keeps basic request logs for a few days to help fix problems.
How long it's kept
Game results are kept for as long as the game is running, so past scores can be counted. You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time.
Your choices
You don't have to play. To see or delete what's stored about you, message the game's developer on Discord in the server where you play. You can also remove the game's access from Discord under Settings → Authorised Apps.
Children
Speed Word Search follows Discord's own age rules. It isn't aimed at anyone under the minimum age to use Discord.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change too.
